Polina Kanevskaya and Elizaveta Smolovik, researchers from the Laboratory for Climate Change Economics, took part in the 16th International "Ecology" Forum.

Elizaveta Smolovik, a junior research fellow, and Polina Kanevskaya, a research intern at the Laboratory, attended the session titled "ESG and National Priorities: Points of Intersection and Responsible Financing". The session focused on pressing issues related to the national ESG agenda, including the application of ESG ratings, the development of a national taxonomy for green and adaptation projects, the advancement of green finance, corporate projects, and best practices for promoting sustainable solutions among partners and suppliers.

The International "Ecology" Forum is traditionally held on Ecologist’s Day and World Environment Day, with the support of the State Duma, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation and its subordinate agencies, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and other federal authorities. Each year, the forum brings together over 1,200 participants from 70 regions of Russia and abroad, including representatives of foreign diplomatic missions, Russian federal and regional government bodies, international organizations and associations, industrial and transport companies, financial institutions, consulting firms, developers, manufacturers and suppliers of environmental technologies and equipment, as well as NGOs, academic institutions, and media outlets.
