Stepan Shishigin Took Part in a Summer School on Climate Risks in China

From 14 to 25 July 2025, Stepan Shishigin, Junior Research Fellow at the Laboratory for Climate Change Economics, participated in the Summer School on Global Climate Change Systemic Risk Governance, held on the campus of Beijing Normal University in Zhuhai.

The school brought together over 40 young researchers, including 15 international participants selected on a competitive basis from leading Chinese and foreign universities. The programme featured lectures by world-renowned experts in climatology, risk management and sustainable development, among them professors from the United States, Japan, China, Sweden and Hong Kong.

As part of the programme, Stepan also visited the Shenzhen Institute of Urban Planning and Design, where he became acquainted with advanced practices in climate risk management.
