Members of the research and study group “ASEAN+, BRICS+, NATO+: Prospects of Asian Integration in the New World Order” of the National Research University Higher School of Economics Alexandra Khiteva, Denis Zlobin and Ivan Moldavanov within the framework of the project “National and Regional Strategies and Institutions of Cybersecurity in East and Southeast Asia” took part in the All-Russian scientific conference “The Problem of Preserving ASEAN Unity and Prospects of Development of Asean-Centric Formats of Cooperation” held at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

A.S. Khiteva, member of the Research and Study group “ASEAN+, BRICS+, NATO+: Prospects for Asian Integration” of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, recieved an invitation and held a meeting with representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines. Within the framework of the projects “National and Regional Cybersecurity Strategies and Institutions of East and Southeast Asian Countries” and “Pivot to the East: Philippines” the prospects of cooperation in the field of cybersecurity and other priority areas were discussed.

The first inaugural seminar of the Research and Study Group was held
On Friday 17th of January, the first joint workshop with all RSG members was held. The participants were able to get to know each other better and discuss important organizational issues. The first joint meeting of our team was held in a mixed format under the guidance of Prof. Galina Yurievna Nikiporets-Takigawa.

Our team attended the annual conference of the Association of Japanese Studies
On December 20, 2024, the XVII Scientific Conference of the Association of Japanese Studies was held at the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences, where the head of the Research and Study Group (RSG) Nikiporets-Takigawa Galina Yurievna made a report at the plenary session, and the students-participants of the RSG also took part as listeners.
