Expert Philip Grinin presented the e-Governance Knowledge Sharing Program at the International Technology Congress
On September 18, 2025, the International Technology Congress, a platform for the development of ICT exports, hosted the session “From Cairo to Cape Town: Prospects for the digital market in Africa”, organized by the Center for Global IT Cooperation in partnership with the RUSSOFT Association. An expert of the Center and Deputy Coordinator of the e-Governance Knowledge Sharing Program Philip Grinin participated in the event.
The session was moderated by Vasily Zudin, Deputy Director of the Center for Global IT Cooperation.
The speakers discussed the opportunities of Russian IT companies entering the rapidly growing African markets. It was noted that in recent years the countries of North Africa – Algeria, Morocco and Egypt, have been attracting special attention. The use of digital solutions in these countries stimulates the development of heavy industry, fintech, healthcare, and the public sector – all of these sectors are increasingly attractive for Russian developers, motivating them to enter the local markets of African countries.
During the event, Philip Grinin, an expert at the Center for African Studies, told Russian business about the e-Governance Knowledge Sharing Program for African countries, implemented with the support of “Innopraktika” company.
“The key goal of the Program is to improve public administration systems and transfer the best Russian solutions and best practices in the field of e-governance. The key success factor for Russian IT developers in the African markets is flexibility, the ability to adapt to the changing conditions of developing economies, as well as taking into account and understanding the peculiarities of local markets,” shared his experience Philip Grinin.
