Expert of the Center participated in the working group of the Rusian Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment in the Central African Republlic

On April 29-30, the first meeting of the Russian-Central African working group on cooperation in the field of geology and subsoil use took place in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. Nikita Panin, an expert of the HSE Center for African Studies, took part in the event as part of the delegation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia.

During the meeting, he reported to the representatives of the Ministry of Mines and Geology of the Central African Republic on the Center's activities to support investment projects and projects on e-governance in African countries, that could be later presented to potential Russian investors. The Parties also discussed possible preparation of a CAR investment profile in order to increase the country's recognition in the Russian investment environment.

During the working trip, Nikita Panin also met with Gauthier Guezewane
, Advisor to the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of the Central African Republic. He informed the Advisor on the e-Governance Knowledge Sharing Program implemented by the HSE Center for African Studies. The Central African side expressed interest in developing cooperation in the field of e-governance.
