The HSE Center for African Studieshas summed up the results of the competition for a two- month internship at the African Energy Chamber ( AEP) in Johannesburg, South Africa.
On June 19, 2025, on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), the HSE Univeristy and the African Energy Chamber (AEC), a leading organization in the field of African energy, signed a cooperation agreement. The AEC serves as an expert and communication platform for interaction between state agencies, companies and international organizations in order to strengthen the energy security of African countries.
On April 24, 2025, Andrey Maslov, Director of the Center for African Studies, met with Mr. Rashid Ali Abdallah, Executive Director of the African Energy Commission, in Algiers, Algeria.
On March 31, 2025, the White Hall of the HSE University hosted a lecture “African Energy Agenda: Prospects and Challenges” by NJ Ayuk, Chairman of the African Energy Chamber. The event was organized by the HSE Center for African Studies within its educational “Africa” track and with the support of the Roscongress Foundation. The event was moderated by Vsevolod Sviridov, Deputy Director of the Center for African Studies.
