On June 11, 2026, a lecture and roundtable titled «Regional Security Governance: International Experience and African Practice» was held. The event featured representatives of the African Union Commission (AUC), who discussed  the contemporary security challenges facing Africa, prospects for regional integration, and opportunities for using IT solutions to monitor the socio-political situation across the continent.

On June 5, 2026, a session titled «African Investment Hub: Presentation of Projects and Potential of Nations of the Continent at the Current Stage» was held at the Roscongress International Cooperation Area during SPIEF 2026 in St. Petersburg, with the support of the HSE Center for African Studies. The session formed part of the preparations for the Third Russia–Africa Summit, which, in accordance with a decision by the President of the Russian Federation, will take place in Moscow on October 28–29, 2026.

On June 11, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the HSE Center for African Studies, as part of the educational «Africa» track, will organize a lecture for students and a roundtable titled «Regional Security Governance: International Experience and African Practice». The event will take place in the HSE University White Hall (Room A-201), located at 11 Pokrovsky Boulevard. Representatives of the African Union Commission (AUC) will participate in the discussion.

On June 5, 2026, the «Russia–Tanzania Business Dialogue» was held as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The session was moderated by Andrey Maslov, Director of the HSE Center for African Studies

A series of events aimed at strengthening Russia–Tanzania cooperation in the fields of digitalization, education, expert exchange, and investment collaboration has concluded in Tanzania. Experts of the HSE Center for African Studies participated in the event, providing expert support for international dialogue.

From May 6 to 8, 2026, the Spring Knowledge Sharing School for e-Governance was held in Dar es Salaam, United Republic of Tanzania.

On April 29-30, the first meeting of the Russian-Central African working group on cooperation in the field of geology and subsoil use took place in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic. Nikita Panin, an expert of the HSE Center for African Studies, took part in the event as part of the delegation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Russia.

From April 7-9, 2026, Africa’s largest tech and startup exhibition, GITEX Africa, took place in Marrakech, Morocco. The delegation of the HSE Center for African Studies participated in the event, and presented the e-Governance Knowledge Sharing Program.

On March 16, 2026, the 11th meeting of the Intergovernmental Russian-Namibian Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was held in Windhoek, Namibia. Director Andrey Maslov participated in the event on behalf of the HSE Center for African Studies.

On February 25, 2026, the University of Nairobi, Kenya hold an opening ceremony of the Africa Centre for the Study of Russia (ACSOR). Expert Nikolai Golovko took part in the event online.
