Dear colleagues! On September 18, the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism invites you to the presentation of the individual monograph “Mexico in Modern World Politics” by Ekaterina Kosevich.

The monograph is the first attempt in Latin America studies in Russia to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the key global and regional trends in Mexico’s foreign policy in the context of changes in the international relations that took place at the beginning of the 21st century. The timeliness and originality of this work are based on the analysis of the administration’s foreign policy course by E. Peña Nieto, whose term of office expired on December 1, 2018, and the results of such policy. The research covers major guidelines in Mexico’s foreign policy under A. Lopez Obrador, which may entail new challenges or, possibly, new prospects for this Latin American country. The study presents an up-to-date and multilateral assessment of relations between Mexico and its most important regional and non-regional partners at the beginning of the 21st century.

The book is addressed to political scientists, economists, historians, international journalists, diplomats, students and graduate students studying Latin America, the United States and Iberoamerica, and will also be of an interest to a wide range of readers interested in this issue.

E.Y. Kosevich - Ph.D. in Political Science, Researcher at the International Laboratory for World Order Studies and the New Regionalism at the Higher School of Economics, from 2016 to 2019 - Researcher at the Institute of Latin America, Russian Academy of Sciences.
