56th Convention of the International Studies Association

From the 18th to 21st February the biggest American (in fact international — like the American Association of Political Science) professional association of researchers in international relations, global politics and comparative politics, the International Studies Association held it’s 56th annual convention, this time in New Orleans. As in recent years, more than 6,000 participants came from all over the world.

On November 19-20, 2014, HSE hosted the conference ‘Global Governance: Nominal, Real and Alternative Structures’. The conference focused largely on the paradigm shift in geopolitical and geoeconomic structures of the modern world, as well as the underlying causes and long-term implications of such changes. HSE Hosts Conference for Junior Japan Experts

The sixth ‘New View’ conference for junior Japan experts has come to an end. The conference was organized by HSE’s School of Asian Studies together with the Japanese culture division of the Margarita Rudomino All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature (Japan Foundation) and the Association of Japanese Studies.
