How to become a research intern at the Institute?

The Institute for Environmental and Climate Economics conducts research on a wide range of topics related to climate policies in Russia and abroad, the interplay between global climate change and issues of economic growth, inequality, international trade, technological development, and efforts to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

The Institute carries out both fundamental and applied research and actively involves student and graduate research interns in its projects. Below are the basic requirements for candidates interested in this position.

 

Requirements for research interns

Research interns at the Institute participate in multiple projects. Therefore, we expect candidates to:

  • Be able to work effectively under multitasking conditions
  • Be comfortable handling large volumes of academic literature and quantitative data
  • Possess strong academic writing skills
  • Strictly adhere to deadlines

 

To successfully pass the competitive selection process and collaborate effectively with our team, candidates are expected to have a foundational understanding of our field. For this reason, we ask applicants to read the following materials and complete a basic online course.
