International Winter School

About International Winter School

HSE organizes winter schools each year for international students about to graduate and recent graduates as a short-term introduction to the University. Programme participants meet leading Russian and foreign specialists, famous politicians, and researchers, and also learn about Russian culture and traditions. HSE student buddies will help visiting students to settle in, answer questions, and act as guides in navigating the peculiarities of Russian daily life and culture. Over this two-week programme, students study the basics of Russian and put their new language skills to use in interacting with professors and students. Students can earn 3 ECTS credits.
