Winter School 2016
Between the 23rd of January and the 6th of February the International Winter School for foreign students took place. Among the participants were students from South Korea, China, Romania, Bangladesh and the Philippines. During the two weeks young people learned International relations, Russian language and culture. Besides, lectures of the faculty professors, who are the major specialist in the field of International Relations, were included in the Program. They are namely: Maxim Bratersky, Evgeniy Kanaev, Yuval Weber, and Andrey Krikovich.
Within the Program the students got to know traditional and modern aspects of the Russian culture. The participants visited the Complex of the Moscow Kremlin, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Museum of Bread and Valenki, as well as the biggest ice-rink in Russia on the VDNKh, and also sledded. The Pushkin Museum did also produce a great impact:
Wang Li Bin:
I enjoyed the visit to the Pushkin Museum a lot. I could touch the art of the Ancient World, the Middle Ages, and the Renascence as well. The sculpture of David by Michelangelo was the most impressive for me. When I was a schoolgirl our teacher of art told a lot about it, that is why having seen that with my own eyes I was left speechless!
Nagesh K. Ojha:
I was incredibly happy being lucky to visit the Pushkin Museum. Actually Russia could conserve such a rich heritage and that, to my mind, is very important. Thanks to the secular, as well as religious, plots presented in the Museum one may see that Russia keeps an essential link between culture and civilization.
During the closing ceremony of the Winter School the participants were awarded with certificates and souvenirs with the School symbols. The event concluded with a small banquet, where thanking towards the professors and the organizers of the School was express.
