Centre for Interdisciplinary Arctic Studies
Centre for Interdisciplinary Arctic Studies conducts research on the economic, political, and environmental dimensions of Russia’s Arctic development and international cooperation in the region. The Centre’s work aims to provide policy recommendations for improving Russia’s Arctic strategy, assessing the potential of the Northern Sea Route, and exploring opportunities for the sustainable use of natural resources. Particular attention is paid to the impact of climate change on the socio-economic development of Arctic territories, as well as to the prospects for Russia’s cooperation with BRICS countries and other external partners in the Arctic. The Centre combines academic analysis with applied research, creating a scientific and expert foundation for policymaking in the field of sustainable regional development.
