Centre for Water Resources Research

Centre for Water Resources Research studies the consequences of climate change and water scarcity, with a particular focus on the Central Asian region. Special attention is given to climate adaptation in the region, international trade flows of «virtual water», and opportunities for deepening cooperation on climate-related issues within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

HSE University Water Workshop

The Centre for Water Resources Research of the Institute for Economics of Natural Resources and Climate Change is launching a monthly online seminar on water resources in international relations. The seminar is designed as an international expert platform for discussing issues of water resources governance and water security on the global agenda—from economic development to international cooperation and conflict.

Each month, speakers from different countries will present their research, followed by comments from invited discussants. The seminar is led by Anastasia Likhacheva, Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, Director of the Centre for Water Resources Research.
