Researchers from the Laboratory for Climate Change Economics contributed to the preparation of the report "BRICS Cooperation Progress According to BTTC Indicator System"
The report was prepared by the BRICS Expert Council – Russia with the support of the BRICS Think Tank Council (BTTC), following Russia’s 2024 presidency of the group.
Researchers from the Laboratory for Climate Change Economics — Igor Makarov, Fyodor Alekseev, Polina Kanevskaya, Marina Starodubtseva, Elizaveta Smolovik, Matvey Chistikov, and Anna Chistikova — authored the section on Sustainable Development and Resource Abundance.
The authors developed a comprehensive system of indicators to monitor progress in BRICS cooperation on sustainable development, the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and climate change mitigation. The analysis identified key achievements in these areas and highlighted domains that require further collaboration.
