Expert seminars: "Contemporary area studies"

Expert seminars "Contemporary area studies" - a scientific project of the School of International Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University.

The purpose of the project: informing the public about urgent problems of regional studies and increasing the professional competence of students.

Description of the project: expert seminars "Contemporary area studies" are regular online meetings. Duration 80 minutes: 40 minutes - presentation of the main speaker and 40 minutes session of questions and answers, in which experts take part on the topic of the presentation.

Target audience: applicants, students, graduate students, researchers, university staff, experts, politicians, diplomats, and all those who are interested in the development of the current situation in the regions and countries of the world, culture, and history. The core audience of the expert seminars are depending on the announced topic of the meeting.

Theoretical significance of the project: Seminars allow you to supplement with practical and theoretical knowledge those areas of regional research that are not sufficiently covered in Russia and abroad. It allows getting a comprehensive overview of the directions, nature and dynamics of the development of different countries and regions in the modern world.
