International Youth Dialogue The Voice of the Future

International Youth Dialogue “The Voice of the Future” is a project implemented by the School of International Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University. The project is aimed at developing contacts between representatives of young people in Russia and foreign countries.

In the era of the information technology boom, young people are increasingly involved in significant socio-political processes both within individual states and outside of the individual state framework. This is an important factor in removing barriers to the sustainable and harmonious development of peoples, countries, and the international community as a whole.

Today the specifics and features of the modern world order and trends in the formation of the global agenda foster the need to establish humanitarian ties between the future leaders. Trust-based interaction between young people is the key component of mutual respect and harmonious coexistence of societies in the future.

The School of International Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University sees the formation of mutual understanding between the youth of the countries of the world and Russia as part of its social mission. This is an important factor in the formation of an intellectually developed, socially responsible, and patriotic personality who understands the logic of modern world development and can build effective interaction with representatives of other peoples.

Project goal: Strengthening horizontal ties and dialogue between the youth of Russia and foreign countries.

Project objectives:

  • Organization of panel discussions with the participation of young people from different countries;
  • Organization of joint visits of young intellectuals, joint research, and publication of their results;
  • Development of intercultural dialogue, substantiation of its significance for strengthening peace and countering extremism, discrimination, and xenophobia in modern international circumstances;
  • Explaining to the participants of the dialogue the importance of their role in establishing such exchanges, developing their professional competencies;
  • Development of joint initiatives aimed at promoting intercultural dialogue in the international information and educational space.

Methods of implementation: The project is unlimited, eligible participants are persons from 18 to 35 years old, who speak English and are motivated to develop an international dialogue.
