A journey to Japan
I have always been attracted by Japan, its unique culture, traditions and wonderful nature, and visiting the Land of the Rising Sun was one of my old dreams.
Concerning this, when I was entering the Higher School of Economics, I have already known I would study Japanese. Despite all the difficulties in learning this language, I do not regret about my choice, especially after the summer trip to Japan. I went for a short-term language program to Tokyo Japanese Central Language School. The school is located in the center of Tokyo, so in my spare time I could enjoy the city and its surroundings. Climbing Mount Fuji, the Japanese people’s shrine, became one of the most exciting experiences; I was struck by the beauty of its landscapes. The elegance of ancient temples, the magnificence of modern buildings, the splendor of nature – all this deeply impressed me and gave a new powerful impetus to a further study of language. And, of course, I hope to visit Japan once again – maybe, even the next summer.
