At the beginning of July HSE students of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs (WEIA) took part in the Summer School on international relations at Fudan University (China), which is one of the leading international training programmes in the field. For two weeks, they studied contemporary approaches to global governance and development in the Global South, attended lectures of acclaimed scholars from different countries and discussed unfolding international processes with students from across the globe.

In July 2026, the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs (WEIA) of HSE University and East-China Normal University (ECNU) signed an Agreement for Doctoral Dissertation Co-supervision and Defense. The Agreement heralds a new stage in the partnership between WEIA Faculty and ECNU, which harkens back to the 2013 Agreement on student exchange. Since then, cooperation between WEIA Faculty and ECNU has expanded beyond academic mobility, and is set to reach a new level – joint training of researchers.

Today, on the anniversary of the passing of Prof. Andrey Karneev, the outstanding Russian sinologist and long-standing Head of the School of Asian Studies, the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs (WEIA) of HSE University is proud to announce the launch of an exclusive student exchange programme in partnership with Dalian University of Foreign Languages (DUFL, China).

Fudan University (China) invites students to participate in the international Youth Innovation Competition on Global Governance. Application deadline: April 28, 2025.
