An open lecture by Professor Pierre-Emmanuel Thomann

On Friday, October 25, an open lecture by the French professor Thomann on the topic “Prospects for building a new security in Europe” was organized at the Higher School of Economics. Professor Thomann is the president and founder of the “Eurocontinent” international organization specializing in geopolitical analysis of the EU and Eurasia, as well as an expert in the field of geopolitical problems and development patterns of the EU, Russia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

In his lecture, the professor pointed out the existing problems of fragmentation of security systems in Europe, Eurasia and Central Asia, that have to be fixed in order to create a holistic system of international security. Particular attention was paid to efforts on the part of France, Germany and Russia of taking active steps towards coalition cooperation, which includes both economic cooperation and the construction of a more balanced security system.
