An open lecture on the role of German think tanks in African politics in Germany

On February 14, an international lecture by Anton Vadimovich Polyachenkov, intern of the, “The Role of German Analytical Centers in the Formation of German African Politics (Sub-Saharan Africa Case)”, was held at the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism.


The presentation covered a number of issues - the features of German analytical centers and their differences from the centers of other countries, the main tasks of German foreign policy in relation to sub-Saharan Africa, as well as the history of the development of this foreign policy direction, the direct participation of analytical centers experts in decision-making in this sphere. The report smoothly turned into a discussion, which also touched upon the features of the work of such centers in other countries, as well as the difficulties in the interaction of experts and politicians. They discussed ways of achieving analytical centers of objectivity in conditions of financial dependence on political institutions.
