Alexander Lukin Took Part in the Maritime Silk Road Seminar in China

On the 11th & 12th February 2015, Alexander Lukin, Head of the Department for International Relations, took part in the international seminar ‘21st Century Maritime Silk Road’ in Quanzhou City in Fujian Province in southeast China.

More than 200 leading world experts on China, Asia-Pacific Region and Central Asia and the Middle East were invited to attend. The event was organised by the State Council Information Office. The visitors were welcomed by Liu Qibao, Member of the Politburo and the Secretariat and Head of CPC Propaganda Department, Yu Quan, Secretary of the CPC Committee for Fujian Province,  Jiang Jianguo, Director of the State Council Information Office and other heads of government ministries and departments.

Alexander Lukin jointly chaired a section of the seminar with Jian Fanem, President of the Academy of Social Sciences of Fujian Province, and delivered a paper - Russian-Chinese Strategic Partnership and the Initiative - 21st Century Maritime Silk Road.
