Doctors Without Borders Talk About Humanitarian Crisis in Africa

The Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs and School+ will host the meeting with «Doctors without borders» / Médecins Sans Frontières(MSF) . This event is dedicated to the HSE African Week. This is a great opportunity learn more about humanitarian projects in Africa from the representatives of the world-wide known medical NGO with 40+ years of activities in the region. Currently MSF operates more than 250 projects in Africa.

Speakers:

Michiel Hofman, Senior Humanitarian Specialist. Michiel joined MSF in 1993, coordinated and managed MSF projects and mission to several countries, including DRC, Burundi and South Sudan.

Sylvain Groulx, coordinates several MSF projects in Africa. He managed MSF missions to Angola,

Angola, Sierra Leone, DRC and CAR, as well as Sudan and Chad. Currently he coordinates MSF activities in Central African Region.

Emmanuel Lampaert, coordinates MSF projects in Africa. Currently Emmanuel manages MSF missions to Burundi, CAR and DRC.

Christian Katzer, Operational Manager of MSF projects in Africa. Since 1999 his work has taken him to Uganda, Liberia and Somalia. Currently he coordinates MSF activities in CAR.
