The annual International Winter School for foreign students has finished

From January 21 to January 31, 2019 in HSE buildings on Myasnitskaya 20, Myasnitskaya 9/11 and Armenian pereulok 4 International Winter School was held. It was organized by the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs.

The main goal of the School is to introduce foreign students to the Higher School of Economics and life in Russia. At the classes participants studied Russian politics, economics, language and culture. Lectures on politics were taught by the leading professors of the Faculty Maxim Bratersky, Andrej Krickovic and Glenn Diesen. Russian language classes were organized by the Director of the Russian Language Centre Olga Eremina.

In a free time from classes and homework, students have acquainted with Moscow: visits to Tretyakov gallery, Pushkin Museum, Moscow Kremlin, etc. were organized.

- The Winter School is perfect, - said student from Jilin University Li Weiran.

This year students came from China and Indonesia. A large group from Jilin University came under an Agreement with the HSE aimed at student and cultural exchange between Universities. Participants discovered HSE from professors in their Universities and via web-searching.
