The School of International Regional Studies is a research and educational centre seeking to revive international regional studies as an academic discipline in Russia. International Round Table “The Current Situation in the World and the Middle East: Key Trends and Pressing Issues”
The round table was chaired by Sergey Karaganov, Honorary Chairman of the CFDP Presidium and Academic Supervisor of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs at HSE University. The keynote speaker was Alastair Crooke, Founder and Director of the public organization Conflicts Forum.
The round table focused on the transformation of the global order and the role of countries from the so-called “World Majority.” Keynote speaker Alastair Crooke also devoted special attention to developments in the Middle East, analyzing possible scenarios for the coming year.
The discussion featured the participation of prominent experts, including:
