V International Online Round Table “Global Youth Problems”

On March 14, the V International Online Round Table “Global Youth Problems” was held as part of the educational project “International Youth Dialogue “Voice of the Future”, implemented by the School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University.

The round table was moderated by Murad Sadygzade, the project supervisor, President of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies, visiting lecturer at the School of Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the HSE University.

In their speeches, young people from Russia, Belarus, Poland, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and Jordan shared their vision of the main problems and difficulties they face. The priority areas included education and the development of applied skills, economic opportunities, mental health and well-being, climate change and environmental sustainability, as well as social and political youth activism.

After the presentations, there was a discussion where the participants concluded that solving the main global youth problems is crucial, as young people are not only the leaders of tomorrow, but also innovators and creators of change today.

Following the event, the participants of the round table agreed on the need to increase the frequency of such events to bring young people from all over the world closer together and unite them, noting the positive effect of the World Festival of Youth, which was held in Sochi from February 29 to March 7, 2024.
