Cohesion of the Collective West: Causes and Limits

Kashin, Director of the Center for Comprehensive European and International Studies at HSE University and Director of the Center for Strategic Studies at the Institute for International Defense Economy and Strategy, HSE University (“Asian Allies of Washington: Expanding and Deepening the Anti-China Alliance Despite Beijing’s Efforts”); P. Tebin, Director of the Center for Military-Economic Studies at the Institute for International Defense Economy and Strategy, HSE University (“The Phenomenon of Western Europeans Abandoning National Interests in Favor of Transatlantic Unity”); F. Following the main presentations, a discussion took place with the participation of E. Degtereva, Deputy Director of the Institute for International Defense Economy and Strategy, HSE University; E. Goryushina, Leading Expert at the Center for Strategic Studies at the Institute for International Defense Economy and Strategy, HSE University; and N. Novik, and Expert at the Institute for International Defense Economy and Strategy, HSE University.
The session facilitated an in-depth discussion on the reasons for the cohesion of the collective West and the limits of this unity in the current geopolitical context.
