A.V. Lukin at the international conference on the SCO
On September 29, the Head of the International Relations Department, Head of the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism A.V. Lukin participated in the international conference "Samarkand SCO Summit: contribution to regional and international security, sustainable development" which took place online.
The conference was organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the International Institute of Central Asia and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Renowned experts on the SCO and Central Asia from the SCO member states, as well as the UK, the US, France, Germany, Hungary and Belgium addressed the conference. Welcoming addresses were made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan V.I. Norov, the SCO Deputy Secretary-General G.S. Logvinov, the Director of the Executive Committee of the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure (RATS) R.E. Mirzaev. Professor A.V. Lukin made a presentation at the first session “Samarkand Initiative - a new format of inter-civilization dialogue of the future”.
