Alexander Marchukov ’s article “The Main Obstacles to EU Public Diplomacy in China”

The journal “Science Journal of VolSU: History. Area studies. International Relations” has published the article by researcher at the Department of International Relations Alexander Marchukov and senior lecturer at the Department of International Relations of the Moldova State University Cristina Morari.

This article is devoted to the main obstacles faced by the public diplomacy of the European Union in China. According to the authors, the successful implementation of the EU public diplomacy programs in China is hampered by restrictive measures on the part of the Chinese government, the ambivalence of Brussels' foreign policy towards Beijing, as well as the lack of high-quality tools for European diplomats to assess the effectiveness of public diplomacy programs.
