S. Karaganov in the opening session “The Search for Global Leadership”

On June 1 S. Karaganov Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE’s participated in the opening session “The Search for Global Leadership” an annual flagship London Conference (Chatham House), launched in 2014, brings together 200 senior decision-makers in the policy, business, civil society and academic spheres to debate the systemic risks facing the world as a result of the deepening process of globalization.

In the last conference took part Philip Hammond, the UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, Dr. Robin Niblet, the Director of Chatham House,  Joseph S Nye, University Distinguished Service Professor, Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
 The conference was structured as an interactive dialogue between speakers and participants. This year’s themes - demographic changes, urbanization, technological disruptions and resource constraints – were woven through the sessions.
