Faculty Ambassador Lebedeva Daria performed at School №49 (Yaroslavl)

Our student of the bachelor’s programme “International Relations” within the framework of the project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” returned to the walls of her school to tell high school students about the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, the advantages and features of our educational programs, and also to give an additional incentive to future applicants before entering.

Daria graduated from school in 2021.  She was led to the “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” project by the desire to show high school students that nothing is impossible and that by setting a goal, you can achieve everything that was conceived. Our student shared her history of admission, the experience of living in another city and what her first steps at the faculty were. Dasha also said that our faculty can give a lot of opportunities for self-realization on the way to an independent life.

The student performed at school on April 9, 2022. The guys listened with great interest about studying at the Higher School of Economics. The high school students paid special attention to the programs of two diplomas, the languages studied and the way of choosing them, and extracurricular activities at the faculty. In addition, the students were interested in the process of admission to the Olympiads.

Daria spoke about her impressions of the meeting: “The day before the performance, I was very worried that I would not be able to attract the attention of the students, because even “yesterday” I was sitting at the same desks, and today I am already talking about the responsible choice of my future. But it turned out the opposite, that short distance between us only simplified our dialogue. With an open mind, I shared my admission story. Talking about educational programs, I felt proud to be part of our excellent faculty at one of the best universities in the country. Understanding perfectly the excitement and doubts of high school students, I tried to convey to them that by setting a specific goal, taking a step towards it, you can “move mountains” – everything is possible. With a clear understanding of your goal, every little thing realized will make you closer to your cherished dream and give you an additional incentive, and all your work is absolutely not in vain.”

The project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” is being implemented by the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Admissions and Alumni Relations Anna V. Zhikhareva.
