Faculty Ambassador Anisia Rakovskaya performed at the Tiraspol General Educational Theoretical Lyceum №1

Our student of the bachelor’s programme “International Relations” within the framework of the project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” held an online meeting, where she told high school students about the details of admission to the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, as well as the features of education.

Anisia graduated from the Tiraspol General Educational Theoretical Lyceum in 2021. She was familiar with the “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs” project even before she entered: in 2019, a HSE student came to the educational institution she graduated from and spoke so fascinatingly about entering the university that Anisiya made her choice and promised herself that she would enter our faculty and will definitely hold the same meeting for high school students from Tiraspol.

The performance took place on April 22, 2022 on the online platform “Webinar”. Anisiya wanted as many high school students as possible to attend this meeting, and by spreading information through various communication channels, and then agreeing with the lyceum administration, she managed to organize a large-scale event. The meeting was attended by students of grades 9-11 of educational institutions of Pridnestrovie, as well as the head teacher of the Tiraspol General Educational Theoretical Lyceum and the head of the HSE Resource Center in Pridnestrovie Lyubov Safonova. High school students showed great interest and asked many questions. The most popular of them:

  1. What are the ways of admission for foreigners?
  2. Is it possible to study as an exchange student at a foreign university?
  3. Is it difficult to study at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs?

Anisia spoke about her impressions of the meeting: “Thanks a lot to the faculty for the opportunity to participate in such a wonderful project! This is my first performance as a HSE student and already a lyceum graduate. Remembering how difficult my last academic year at the lyceum was, how much effort and nerves were spent to enter the university of my dreams, I would like to at least make life a little easier for future applicants. I felt a huge responsibility, but I was very pleased how the guys I knew turned to me for information and advice. Seeing positive feedback is valuable and insanely pleasant. I hope my performance was useful for the guys and they made their choice.”

The project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” is being implemented by the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Admissions and Alumni Relations Anna V. Zhikhareva.
