The World Economy and International Affairs faculty is a research and education centre focusing on the global economy, international relations, and oriental studies. Taking an interdisciplinary approach to the subjects allows the Faculty to reflect their real-life interdependence. Economists receive basic understanding of international relations, culture, and people's value systems. International Relations specialists benefit from an introduction to economics and applied mathematics. Both groups graduate from the BA course with a good grasp of two foreign languages. Asian Studies students not only study the languages and cultures of Asia, but also the economics, politics and entrepreneurial culture of the region.

Buyansha graduated from high school just a year ago, so her memory is fresh with thoughts of how difficult it is to decide on a further place of study. She was led to the “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” by her desire to help high school students in solving a difficult but very important task.
The student performed at school on May 4, 2022 in front of 10th grade school students. They were very interested and listened to the presentation with special attention. Moreover, they actively asked questions concerning various areas of university life. The most popular of them concerned the possibility of international internships, the choice of foreign languages for study and double degree programs.
Buyansha spoke about her impressions of the meeting: “I was very worried before the speech, I tried to thoroughly study all the information about our faculty in order to be ready to answer any question. But, fortunately, everything went as well as possible! Since I myself graduated from school only a year ago, all the faces were familiar to me, and the atmosphere turned out to be very friendly. I tried to tell about our faculty in such a way that the guys would be as interested as possible. I hope that I managed to inspire the guys and help them decide on their future specialization.”
The project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” is being implemented by the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Admissions and Alumni Relations Anna V. Zhikhareva.
