The World Economy and International Affairs faculty is a research and education centre focusing on the global economy, international relations, and oriental studies. Taking an interdisciplinary approach to the subjects allows the Faculty to reflect their real-life interdependence. Economists receive basic understanding of international relations, culture, and people's value systems. International Relations specialists benefit from an introduction to economics and applied mathematics. Both groups graduate from the BA course with a good grasp of two foreign languages. Asian Studies students not only study the languages and cultures of Asia, but also the economics, politics and entrepreneurial culture of the region.

Maria graduated from lyceum in 2018. She was led to the “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” by the desire to to tell lyceum students about her experience of entering the Higher School of Economics, emphasizing that the most important thing is to make decisions independently and focus on goals.
The student performed at the lyceum on May 25, 2022 in front of 10-grade students of the economic and mathematical profile. The high school students were very interested in the presentation, it was felt that the discussion of the future learning trajectory was more relevant than ever for them. The students asked a lot of questions, the most popular of them:
Maria shared her impressions of the meeting: “I was glad to perform at my native school. It is very important for me to share my experience with future applicants, to advise, guide and encourage them. I didn’t have enough lively dialogues with students in high school, so I wanted to immerse students in the university atmosphere as much as possible”.
The project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” is being implemented by the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Admissions and Alumni Relations Anna V. Zhikhareva.
