The World Economy and International Affairs faculty is a research and education centre focusing on the global economy, international relations, and oriental studies. Taking an interdisciplinary approach to the subjects allows the Faculty to reflect their real-life interdependence. Economists receive basic understanding of international relations, culture, and people's value systems. International Relations specialists benefit from an introduction to economics and applied mathematics. Both groups graduate from the BA course with a good grasp of two foreign languages. Asian Studies students not only study the languages and cultures of Asia, but also the economics, politics and entrepreneurial culture of the region.

Daniil graduated from gymnasium №94 in 2020. He was led to the project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” by the desire to talk about the possibilities of studying at one of the best universities in the country and to help high school students in solving a difficult but very important task.
The student performed on April 19, 2022 in front of tenth grade students. The high school students listened to the presentation with pleasure and actively asked questions related to different areas of university life. The most popular of them concerned the possibility of international internships, the choice of foreign languages for study and the programme “Asian and African Studies”.
Daniil spoke about his impressions of the meeting: “I have been waiting for a long time to return to school and was glad to see that the guys are really interested in entering not only local universities. I hope to see them soon within the walls of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs".
The project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” is being implemented by the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Admissions and Alumni Relations Anna V. Zhikhareva.
