
XXI April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development
On April 6-10, 2020 in Moscow, National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE University), with the support of the World Bank, will be hosting the XXI April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. The Conference's Programme Committee will be chaired by Professor Evgeny Yasin, HSE University's academic supervisor.

The first Model BRICS will be held from October 2nd to 5th in Sao Paulo.

The Center for Financial Development and Stability at Henan University (CFDS), the Beijing Normal University Business School (BNUBS), and the School of Economics at the University of Cape Town (UCT) are jointly organizing an Open Access Special Issue on “Poverty and Inequality: Evidence from the BRICS and Beyond”.

The annual International Winter School for foreign students has finished
From January 21 to January 31, 2019 in HSE buildings on Myasnitskaya 20, Myasnitskaya 9/11 and Armenian pereulok 4 International Winter School was held. It was organized by the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs.

Professors from BRICS NU gave a block of lectures in HSE
In the beginning of December 2018 4 professors from 2 partner universities – University of Cape Town and University of Campinas – visited HSE and gave several lectures to the students of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs and also provided the plenary sessions on the meetings of HSE African Club and HSE Latin American Club.

On December 10 at the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism the book by Thazha Varkey Paul - professor at the department of Political Science at McGill University (Canada) «Restarting Great Powers. Soft Balancing from Empires to the Global Era» (Yale University Press, 2018)» was presented.
