The event was organized as part of the “Middle East Meetings” - a joint project of the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and World Policy HSE University and the Russian Middle East Association.
The lecture was dedicated to the analysis of the socio-economic situation in the Greater Middle East. The main databases used by specialists to assess the economic situation of the selected countries were reviewed. Summing up the lecture, R. Karamurzov invited the participants of the meeting to pay attention to the problem of uneven assessments of socio-economic development of the countries of the Greater Middle East and shared his expert opinion on ways to overcome differences in the calculation of basic macroeconomic indicators.
