The event was organized as part of the “Middle East Meetings” - a joint project of the School of International Regional Studies of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs of the National Research University Higher School of Economics and the Russian Middle East Association.
The lecturer told the participants about the peculiarities of the Russian-Turkish economic interaction and highlighted the most significant areas of activity, in particular projects in the field of energy, industry, agriculture and tourism. The participants of the event discussed the impact of geopolitical events on the dynamics of trade, economic and investment cooperation between Russia and Turkey, as well as assessed the prospects for further deepening of bilateral relations between the countries. Of particular interest was the topic of cooperation between the countries in the sphere of weaponry, the analysis of which led the participants to the statement that Russia and Turkey are priority trade and economic partners for each other.
