SIRS Professor Evgeny Kanaev Delivered a Guest Lecture to Young Diplomats from Asia-Pacific Countries

On October 22, at the invitation of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in the Russian Federation (accredited to the Republic of Belarus), Evgeny Kanaev, Professor of School of International Regional Studies, delivered a guest lecture to young diplomats from the embassies of the Asia-Pacific countries, as well as to young Russian experts.

During the lecture and the further discussion, synergized with networking lunch, Professor E.Kanaev presented his views on the priorities, directions and prospects of Russian policy in the Asia-Pacific region in light of the present and the prospective tasks of the Russian Federation and its regional partners. The event resulted in agreements on intensifying contacts between the embassies of the Asia-Pacific states and School of International Regional Studies, FWEIA NRU HSE.

Besides Professor Evgeny Kanaev, the NRU HSE was presented by Pavel Shaternikov, a first-year student of the Master Programme “International Relations: European and Asian Studies”, Cahya Sumaningsih, a first-year student of the Master Programme “Socioeconomic and Political Development of Modern Asia”, and Sofya Paderina, a research assistant of Joint Department with Avtopromimport, a graduate of the Master Programme “International Relations: European and Asian Studies”. The young experts actively participated in the discussion.
