Dr. Ahmet Farouk Aysan, professor, head of the master's and doctoral programs in Islamic finance at the Hamad bin Khalifa University (Qatar) gave a seminar on Islamic finance at the event.
The round table was opened by Dr. Anastasia Likhacheva, Dean of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, and then Dr. Sergey Karaganov, Academic Supervisor of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University made a welcoming speech. Among the experts of the event were leading scientists from the HSE University, other Russian universities, and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The moderator of the Round Table was Elmira Imamkulieva, Senior Lecturer at the School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University.
The round table participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the history of Islamic finance, the demand for Islamic banking products and the prospects for partner banking legislation.
