The moderator of the event was Olga Volosyuk, Head, School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University, who welcomed the participants of the round table and emphasized the importance of researching the theme of Russia's cooperation with the countries of the Global South.
The keynote report was presented by Andrey Baklanov, a Professor and Deputy Chairman of the Association of Russian Diplomats, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Studies Section, School of Regional Studies, Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs, HSE University.

As a result of the discussion, the participants noted that Russia and influential countries of the Global South, such as China, India, Brazil, Iran, and others, play a significant role in shaping the new international political and economic-financial order and agreed on the need to continue more in-depth study of the positions and interests of the aforementioned countries in relation to global transformations.
