Faculty Ambassadors Gennady Novikov, Daria Ogneva and Maria Levina performed at Lyceum №19 (in Korolev)

Students of the bachelor’s programme "World Economy" within the framework of the project "Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022" returned to school to share their impressions of student life, tell high school students about the features of studying at the Higher School of Economics, and also encourage future applicants in preparation for the final exams and motivate them to enter at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs.

Gennady graduated from Lyceum №19 in Korolev in 2021. He, like Maria and Daria, was led to the "Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022" project by the desire to talk about the merits of the university, study trajectories, and answer questions related to admission to HSE, which they themselves wanted to know when they were applicants. In addition, students shared their impressions of the first months of study and tried to convey to high school students that exams are not scary, and studying at a university is not limited to a mandatory program.

Our ambassodrs performed at the school on March 16, 2022 in front of students in grades 10-11, for whom this information is now the most relevant. The senior students were enthusiastic about the presentation, actively asked questions and even contacted our first-year students in private messages after the meeting.

The most popular questions were:

  1. What is academic mobility and how is this system developed at HSE?
  2. In what competitions is it worth participating in order to enter the budget form of education? And is it possible to count on the budget if you are going to prepare only for the exam?
  3. What student activities do the ambassadors themselves participate in and what electives does the university provide?

Gena, Masha and Dasha spoke about their impressions of the meeting: “We have long wanted to visit the school, and we have had the opportunity to return to our native walls as ambassadors of one of the best universities in the country. It was extremely interesting for us to tell high school students about all aspects of studying at HSE. The audience was interested in our story, which made us very happy, and we were also able to share personal experiences and stories related to the university. In general, the impressions are very positive, and we are glad that we had such an opportunity to talk with the guys and tell about our favorite faculty!”.

The project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” is being implemented by the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Admissions and Alumni Relations Anna V. Zhikhareva.
