Faculty Ambassador Diana Chumachenko performed at Veshnyakovskaya School (in Moscow)

Our student of the bachelor’s programme “Asian and African Studies” within the framework of the project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” returned to school to tell future applicants about the peculiarities of studying at the Higher School of Economics and the advantages of the chosen trajectory, as well as to support high school students before the upcoming exams.

Diana graduated from Veshnyakovskaya School in 2021. She was led to the Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022 project by the desire to share with future applicants her admission experience, impressions of the first months of study at the university and the aspiration to help with the difficult choice of the direction of study.

The student performed at school on March 25, 2022 in front of students in grades 9-11. The high school students really liked Diana's informative presentation. At the end of the presentation, the guys received handouts and asked a few questions: how to get a discount on tuition, the system of academic mobility, the complexity of subjects that are taught in English. It is also worth noting that both high school students and teachers were interested in the HSE minor program. Many agreed that this is a great opportunity for students to broaden their horizons and develop their skills in other areas.

Diana spoke about her impressions of the meeting: “I was very happy to return to my native school and see the teachers. And I am proud that I returned not just as a student of a good university, but as an Ambassador of my faculty. I hope I helped high school students understand what they might be interested in studying in the future”.

The project Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022 is being implemented by the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Admissions and Alumni Relations Anna V. Zhikhareva.
