Faculty Ambassador Tatyankin Georgiy performed at the City Classical Lyceum (Kemerovo)

Our student of the bachelor’s programme “International Bachelor's Programme in World Politics” within the framework of the project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” returned to his native school to tell high school students about the benefits of studying at our faculty, as well as about the opportunities that open up for graduates

Georgiy graduated from the Kemerovo City Classical Lyceum in 2021. The student performed at the Lyceum on May 5, 2022 in front of two 8th and two 11th grades. He shared with the students booklets of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs programs and leaflets about admission to the HSE. The lyceum students were glad to receive "a piece of HSE".

The Ambassador spoke about studying at the Higher School of Economics and the peculiarities of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs educational programs. High school students were interested in learning about the intensity of studying at HSE and interesting extracurricular life, including: a large number of scientific conferences, meetings with business representatives, various career events held by the HSE together with partner companies.

Lyceum students most of all liked the stories about the teaching staff of the faculty, the academic content of educational programs, and, in particular, the opportunity to study entirely in English. In addition, they asked a lot of interesting questions, the most popular among them:

  1. In what areas of science and business can the knowledge gained while studying at the programs of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs be applied?
  2. Have there been any changes in the programs of the faculty recently?
  3. What are the advantages of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs programs over similar programs of other universities?

Georgiy was glad to return to his native walls and talk with future applicants: “Remembering all the difficulties of choosing, and then entering the university, I understand how important it is to return to the lyceum and share my experience. During my speeches, I told the most up-to-date information about studying at the faculty, about all the pluses and minuses that I noticed during the year. I hope I managed to immerse the guys in the “post-USE” space and tell them what they need to think about in advance. I think I managed to stir up the interest of lyceum students in the Higher School of Economics and the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs. I will be glad to see them within the walls of my native university.”

The project “Ambassadors of the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs 2021-2022” is being implemented by the HSE Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs under the guidance of Deputy Dean for Admissions and Alumni Relations Anna V. Zhikhareva.
