The Center’s delegation visited Makerere University in Uganda

On July 18, 2024, Andrey Maslov, Director of the Center, and Deputy Director Vsevolod Sviridov, met with Professor Barnabas Nawangwe, who is the Rector of Makerere University. Evgeny Kalashnikov, Russian Charge d’affaires in Uganda, also took part in a meeting.

Mr. Nawangwe and Mr. Maslov discussed the Center’s expert and analytical work, as well as the e-Governance Knowledge Sharing Program. Mr. Maslov presented the Rector with the Center’s handbook, “E-Governance in Africa 2024: Opportunities and Challenges”.

They also drafted prospects for cooperation, including joint research in ICT, economics, environment and climate, demography, and innovation, as well as opportunities for interuniversity relations.
