During December 4-8, the Faculty of World Economy and World Politics hosted a series of opening lectures and classes with students by Devin S. Lin, representative of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Alexander Lukin took part in the conference and celebrations dedicated to the 130th anniversary of the outstanding Chinese thinker and public figure of the 20th century Liang Shuming, organized by the Qufu Normal University and the Society for the Study of Confucius of Shandong Province.

Professor Alexander Lukin gave a lecture on the topic “Russian Sinology and the influence of Russian culture in China” at the Faculty of Russian Language, School of Foreign Languages, Zhejiang University (Hangzhou, China).

The leading European journal “Journal of Modern European History” published an article by Sergei Sherstyukov, a researcher at the International Laboratory for Research on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism and an associate professor at the Department of International Relations at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, “The Responses of Muslims in Weimar Germany to the Abolition of the Caliphate.”

Alexander Marchukov spoke at the All-Russian scientific conference with international participation “The USA and the European Union in a Changing World” with a report on the topic “Youth Audience as an Object of Public Diplomacy of the European Union in the USA”.

On October 18, Alexander Lukin, head of the Department of International Relations and head of the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism, commented on the “One Belt, One Road” forum in the “Day” program on RBC.

On October 16, the opening of the first season of the “Mentoring Program” took place at the Russian State University for the Humanities. Researcher at the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism and Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations G.I. Kutyrev, who is also a graduate of the Russian State University for the Humanities, became a member of this program within the discipline “International Relations”.
