On October 16, the opening of the first season of the “Mentoring Program” took place at the Russian State University for the Humanities. Researcher at the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism and Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations G.I. Kutyrev, who is also a graduate of the Russian State University for the Humanities, became a member of this program within the discipline “International Relations”.

On October 9, a public lecture was held by Nandan Unnikrishnan, head of the Eurasian studies program at the Observer Research Foundation, New Delhi, organized by the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism. Professor spoke about relations between Russia and India in the strategic uncertainty context.

On October 3, 2023, the head of the department of international relations, head of the International Laboratory for Research on World Order and New Regionalism, Professor Alexander Lukin, met with the national coordinator for SCO affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mehrdad Kiaei. 

On October 4, 2023, Alexander Marchukov made a presentation on the topic “Comparative analysis of public diplomacy of the EU and China in Latin America” at the VI international forum “Russia and Iberoamerica in a turbulent world: history and modernity” at St. Petersburg State University. 

In an episode of the “Big Game” program, Alexander Lukin commented on the reasons for the visit of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, China’s plans to expand interaction with the Russian Federation, as well as the possibilities and limitations to cooperation with China for Russia in the modern context.

Alexander Lukin took part in the international conference “Strategy-20 plus (S20+) for 2023. How G20 can manage conflicts and promote global development.” 

Deputy Head of the International Laboratory on World Order Studies and the New Regionalism Dmitry Novikov gave an interview to RTVI about the African Union's plans to join the G20.

On August 10, 2023, Shamil Yenikeyeff, Professor of the School of International Affairs, HSE University gave a presentation “Russia's Energy Pivot to the East and the New Energy Game in Northeast Asia” at the conference “The Global Role of the Asia-Indo-Pacific Region in International Relations: Anthropocene, Peace and Security”.
