Russian diplomat Alexander Polyakov took part in the dialogue of the Center for African Studies
During the discussion, Alexander Polyakov spoke about the key achievements in Russia's relations with African countries, outlined existing problems and bottlenecks, and shared his thoughts on what such different African countries as Nigeria, Uganda, and South Sudan have in common. Special attention was paid to the role of expert and analytical support of foreign economic activity and how diplomats and embassies work with information in Africa.
The audience showed keen interest in questions about the activities of Russian embassies and the qualities necessary for a successful diplomatic career.
Alexander Dmitrievich Polyakov is a Russian diplomat who has served as Russian Ambassador to Nigeria (2008-2013), Uganda and South Sudan (2016-2021). On June 14, 2024, he was appointed Russian Ambassador to Rwanda.
