Global climate change is no longer perceived as a purely environmental problem. It is directly related to socio-ecological development, so it is considered by social sciences, including economics. The Laboratory for Climate Change Economics is the first laboratory in Russia that carries out research on this topic. The activities of the Laboratory are interdisciplinary, and the object of research is the relationship between global climate change and the problems of economic growth, inequality, poverty, technology development, as well as efforts to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
