July 10th
During the school participants were working on the group projects and on July 10th they finally presented them to the experts. The members of the jury were Evgeny Kanaev, Professor at the Faculty of World Economy and International Affairs and Head of the Asia-Pacific Division at the Centre for Comprehensive European and International Studies (CCEIS) at the HSE, and Vasily Kashin, Senior Research Fellow at CCEIS.
The themes of the projects were diverse, for instance: U.S. – China Trade War and its Effect on International Relations, technological aspects of modern economic relations, German– China Trade and Investment, Development and Future of The Concept of The Great Eurasia. The most intensive discussion was provoked by the project on the issue of efficiency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The participants highlighted the main problems of the Organisation and suggested solutions. Another research was devoted to “Education as a Part of The Chinese Public Diplomacy in Russia”. The project team analysed the challenges faced by China and Russia in their educational cooperation. The topic of one another project was related to green economy as an important part of Sino-Russian partnership. The students focused on the positive aspects of this aspect of cooperation and suggested solutions on how to implement the principles of green economy into Sino-Russian cooperation. From the group’s point of view, this will not be beneficial just for each side individually, but will strengthen their position on the world stage and the bilateral relations in general.
After the intensive work students had a reach dinner and one more side event.
